Just one this week, borrowed from my brother.

George R. R. Martin: A Feast for Crows (A Song of Ice and Fire #4)

Having recently finished the second half of A Storm of Swords, I picked this up from my brother this weekend. He has just started reading the first half of A Dance With Dragons (#5), which has been split into two for the paperback release. After that, though, we are at the mercy of Martin's glacial writing pace... :)

Have you read any of A Song of Ice and Fire? What did you think?

This week, I just have one new book:

Gayle Forman - If I Stay

A couple of weeks ago I posted about getting a copy of Forman's Where She Went from the library, and wondering whether it was okay to read it without reading If I Stay first. Thanks to some advice from Melissa and Hilda, I decided to hold off until I could get hold of If I Stay. I picked it up from the library today, and I'm excited to get started!

In My Mailbox #3

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by The Story Siren, where bloggers can share the books they've received this week.

From the library:

The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han

This has been on my TBR list for a while, so I'm hoping for a good read!

Where She Went by Gayle Forman

I haven't read anything of Forman's before, and I didn't realise until I got this from the library that it follows from If I Stay, but I'm hopeful that it won't matter too much.

Bought:

Apologies for the slight blurriness!
Borkmann's Point by Håkan Nesser

A Swedish crime novel, #2 in the Inspector Van Veeteren series. Again, I haven't read the first, but this was being promoted in my local Waterstones. (For some reason, they have created a makeshift section called "Scandi" for such Scandinavian crime novels.)

How To Be A Woman by Caitlin Moran

Finally out in paperback, and again on promotion. I used up the rest of my book token on this, which I've been dying to read for ages!

Have you read any of these books? What's in your mailbox this week?

In My Mailbox #2

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by The Story Siren.

This week I picked up three books I had on reservation from the library. It's quite a mixture of stuff, but I've been looking forward to reading all of these for a while.

It's Kind of a Funny Story by Ned Vizzini

This was a Goodreads recommendation, about a teenager who ends up in a psychiatric hospital.

Queen Camilla by Sue Townsend

This may be the one I am most excited about this week - The Queen And I (1992) is a huge favourite of mine, and Queen Camilla is a kind-of sequel to that, about the Royal Family living on a council estate under a Republican government. I love Sue Townsend's books, so I'm hoping this one will be just as good!

The Laughing Policeman (Martin Beck #4) by Maj Sjöwall and Per Wahlöö

I am a huge fan of Scandinavian fiction, particularly crime, and this is one of the iconic titles that I've been dying to read for a long time.

Of course, I can't start any of these books until I finish A Storm of Swords: Blood and Gold, which is getting incredibly tense!

In My Mailbox #1

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by The Story Siren.

Although I have read lots of In My Mailbox posts in the past, this is my first time participating. So, here goes!

From the library:

Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles #1) by Marissa Meyer

(I requested this book a couple of weeks ago, and when I picked it up this weekend I was quite excited to see that I am the first borrower! Small things.)

Bought:

Twin Spirit (Domino Galaxy #1) by Matthew Thompson

(I am excited to read this book in particular, because I know the author, and read an early draft of the book a couple of years ago.)

Borrowed:

A Storm of Swords Part 2: Blood and Gold by George R. R. Martin

(I borrowed this book from my brother, who warns me - once again - to not get too attached to anyone. I made that mistake with the first book...)

These books have joined the others in my to read / currently reading pile. I am also dipping in and out of Mark Yarm's Everybody Loves Our Town: A History of Grunge. It is raining this weekend, and I plan to spend most of it with my head stuck in a book!
